We encourage all students who are able to to attend HDR Induction in-person. This event is designed for live, in-person delivery to allow for questions, discussions and activities. We understand, however, that this will not be possible for some, specifically those not yet in the country. Students who are unable to attend in-person will be able to join online.

If you know you will not be able to attend induction in-person, when registering please select that you will be attending online. If you register to attend in person, but circumstances mean you are unable to make it and would like to join online instead, please contact the Researcher Development Unit at researcher-development@uow.edu.au to let them know.

During the HDR Induction event attendees will receive essential information about their candidature, learn ways to succeed, and meet others in their cohort. They will gain insight into the process of an HDR degree, important information about ethics and research integrity, and an understanding of the various support services available to students, as well as much more.
