Workshop Description:
Showcasing your research enables you to build your academic profile and create engagement with your work.
This interactive workshop, presented by award-winning journalist and UOW educator, Dr Mary Papakosmas, aims to help you identify opportunities to communicate with audiences and develop the key skills that help tell your research story – in a way that has meaning.
Key topics include:
- Recognising and understanding your audience
- Creating a clear and impactful message
- Working towards being a “gifted” presenter – with preparation and skill
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how you can take control of promoting your research, and more confidently approach your next opportunity as an engaging and knowledgeable speaker.
