Your HDR research has given you more than academic expertise — it’s equipped you with powerful skills that can shape your future in academia or industry.
The HDR Futures series, hosted by the UOW Careers & Employability team, is a three-part program designed to help you:
- Recognise your transferable skills
- Showcase them with confidence
- Connect effectively with others
While each workshop can be attended on its own, the sessions are designed to build on each other. For the most impact, we recommend attending all three.
Each session runs for 1.5 hours and includes lunch and networking in the final 30 minutes.
Workshop 2: HDR Futures – Presenting Your Professional Story
When: Wednesday 8 October, 12.00–1.30pm
Where: Thought Bubble, Building 11, Wollongong Campus
How you present your HDR experience can make all the difference.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to showcase your skills across resumes, interviews, and professional conversations. You’ll explore strategies for tailoring your CV or resume to different roles, practise responding to common and challenging interview questions, and build greater confidence in presenting your professional story.
This interactive session will leave you prepared to step into academic and industry opportunities with clarity and impact.
