Session description:

This session covers what you, as a HDR candidate or supervisor, need to know about RDMP monitoring and the new compliance fields.

Two emails were recently circulated to UOW researchers requesting they take the following actions:

  • To ensure an RDMP exists in ReDBox for all research data - including historical data and student data - with monitoring to begin from October 2025.
     

  • To retrospectively complete a new section in existing RDMPs known as "Compliance". This section of the RDMP captures the data classification (in accordance with the UOW Data Classification and Handling Procedure) and an indication of whether the research is considered a critical infrastructure asset under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (SOCI).

Key information to be shared during the session includes:

  • Why are we doing this

  • What is expected of you and when

  • What practical actions you need to take

  • Where you can seek further information

The first 15-20mins will be dedicated to the presentation with the remainder of the session available for Q&A and discussion.
