Workshop description:
Your PhD is more than a research journey – it’s a long-term project that needs clear direction, realistic planning, and steady progress.
This workshop helps HDR candidates step back and understand their PhD through two connected lenses: how research projects are shaped and refined, and how to turn that structure into practical day-to-day progress.
Participants will explore:
- How to set and manage expectations and consider the scope of your PhD project
- Creating achievable goals that account for changes in direction and timelines
- Identifying, assessing and adapting to challenges
- Simple systems to stay organised and maintain momentum
