
Workshop description:
Join UOW Library’s interactive face-to-face workshop on Generative AI (Gen AI) and discover how to use tools such as Copilot ethically and responsibly to complement your studies and research.
The workshop will explore the benefits and limitations of using Gen AI and the importance of applying your own judgment. This workshop is open to all UOW HDR candidates.
You will learn how to:
- understand the role of Gen AI in supporting, not replacing, your critical thinking;
- craft prompts that clearly communicate your needs to AI tools, ensuring relevant outputs;
- verify the facts provided by AI against credible sources;
- be aware of inaccuracies, biases, and assess the overall quality of AI-generated content;
- discover how to utilise the library to verify AI-generated information; and
- acknowledge the use of Gen AI in your work according to UOW guidelines.
Requirement:
Candidates attending this workshop in person will need to bring their own device.
