Workshop Description:

Ready to get practical?

In this interactive workshop, we take you step-by-step through the process of coding qualitative data to produce trustworthy and meaningful results.

During this session, you will:

  • Learn what coding is (and isn't) and how it fits into qualitative analysis
  • Practice coding real excerpts in groups, exploring how to refine codes, identify patterns, and begin developing themes
  • Explore how to embed rigor, record-keeping, and research integrity in your analysis

This workshop is ideal for students starting qualitative analysis or preparing to analyse their own interview, focus group, or textual data. No prior experience is required.
