How to Knock the SOCKs off your Reader: Communicating convincingly the significance and originality of your study

Candidates learn how to craft the significance and impact of their project. Before the end of the workshop, candidates will have developed a structure, and added topic sentences. Potentially adding key points or small amounts of information before they leave.

This workshop aims to equip participants with the essential tools to effectively communicate the significance and impact of their research studies. Participants will learn how to highlight the novelty and potential contributions of their research by contextualising their work within the broader field. Through interactive activities and discussions, participants will gain practical skills and insights that will enable them to craft convincing and impactful research papers.

Learning Outcomes:
Candidates in this workshop will work on the development of their communications skills, writing clarity, and opening with an effective topic sentence.


Accessibility:
67.101 is a wheelchair accessible lecture theatre. A number of blue badge parking spaces are available immediately outside building, and an accessible toilet is situated beside the lecture theatre.
