A common challenge for PhD candidates is managing the little time they have. This workshop introduces some core skills for managing time and projects during the PhD.

Being organised is key to progressing on your research, while maintaining the sanity required to function as a PhD candidate.
In this workshop, researchers learn to:

  • Work with the time they have, and avoid running out of time (time/project management skills.
  • Identify risks to their project
  • Set boundaries (protect mental health)
  • Manage multitasking techniques

Researchers develop skills to plan appropriately and identify techniques to help them priorities; learn about tools and programs to help them maintain progress and complete tasks on time; and identify reasons that cause them to lose time, and their own procrastination patterns and discuss ways of overcoming them.

Learning Outcomes:
Candidates learn how to work with the time they have, identify risks to project timelines, and set boundaries to protect their schedules and their mental health.

Accessibility: 
67.101 is a wheelchair accessible lecture theatre. A number of blue badge parking spaces are available immediately outside building, and an accessible toilet is situated beside the lecture theatre.
