• Provide you with useful research and referencing tips. Universities in Australia have specific research and referencing requirements that may differ from what you are used to. Ready, Set, Succeed will introduce techniques and practical skills you will need to access quality research material you will need to complete your UOW assignments. 

• Introduce you to common assessment types and structure. UOW expects students to write, present and structure assignments in specific ways. Ready, Set, Succeed will teach you how to meet these important requirements, so that you do not lose precious marks when submitting your work. 

• Equip you with academic reading, writing and speaking skills. Central to this program is the aim to develop commencing students’ formal, academic English. Ready, Set, Succeed will provide students with many opportunities to practice the academic language expected to be found in the assignments written during the semester. 

• Provide you with all the necessary support services to make a successful start at UOW. The University offers international students access to many support services. Ready, Set, Succeed will present each of these services, and provide all the links to access them, so that students are able to seek help as early as possible during semester if they require assistance.
