Hosted by the UOW Maths and Statistics Society (MaSSoc), UOW Physics Society and SMAS Student Rep David Plenty, these weekly sessions are all about relaxing, socialising, and having a good time. 📅 Every Wednesday during session (starting Wed 13 August) ⏰ 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM 📍 Building 39C, Ground Floor Atrium 🎲 We’ll have UNO, card games, Kahoot, puzzles, and more. 🥪 Light snacks provided. 🧩 Got a favourite game? Senior EIS students are running cryptology workshops in weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9! No prior knowledge of cryptography needed — just curiosity and a willingness to learn! Workshop 6: Authenticated Encryption & Hashes Combine encryption with message verification, and understand how hash functions like SHA-256 work. 🛠 Activities: Compare secure encryption schemes and play a "find a hash collision" game. 📅 Date: Friday, 19 September 🕥 Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM 📍 Location: 3.123, Wollongong Campus Why join?
