| Workshop 3: Modes of Cipher | Modern Cryptography 101 Workshops - Open to all EIS Students
Are you interested in learning the basics of cryptology? Senior EIS students are running cryptology workshops in weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9!
No prior knowledge of cryptography needed — just curiosity and a willingness to learn!
Workshop 3: Modes of Cipher
Understand how block ciphers (like AES) work and how to make sure messages aren’t tampered with.
🛠 Activities: Pick secure encryption modes and create simple message authentication codes (MACs).

| 1st year Engineering major selection - ECTE399 / ENGG454 2025 | Have you completed your 12 weeks (or 60 working days) of approved professional experience in the Engineering sector for ECTE399 / ENGG454?
If not, this information session is a MUST- ATTEND, especially for students in 3rd or final year.
At this session, we will walk you through:
- the online management system for professional experience
- how to find and gain approval for the placement
- the required forms, report and key milestones to complete the placement.
We'll also have Careers & Employability Services, plus a current student, sharing tips and insights from their own experience - and answer your questions.
