If you would like to register for HDR Induction, please click the 'Register Now' button at the top of the page and follow the prompts. Once you have registered, you are also able to modify your registration by returning to the registration page and logging in using the email and password you used in your original registration.
Attendance at HDR Induction is mandatory for all incoming HDR students. The event will include essential information about your candidature. In-person and online attendance options are available to help accommodate all students.
If you are unable to attend HDR Induction, please contact the HDR Development Team at hdr-development@uow.edu.au as soon as possible.
We encourage all students to attend HDR Induction in-person. This event is designed for live, in-person delivery to allow for questions, discussions and activities. There will also be networking opportunities - particularly the 'Lunch with Your Research Community' session.
We understand, however, that this will not be possible for some, specifically those not yet in the country. Students who are unable to attend in-person will be able to join online.
Please bring your phone, a note pad and pen. You will be required to scan QR codes to sign in and access certain web content.

Traffic and parking is expected to be busy during session. Consider alternatives to driving like a bus, the train, cycling, or walking. UOW buses are scheduled to get you to the campus quickly during peak times. If you must drive, consider carpooling with others for free parking, or arrive early. Please take care when driving particularly on the M1 Princes Motorway and be patient.
