UOW is partnering with LivingWorks to provide a suite of suicide prevention postvention training modules. Empowering everyone to play a role in suicide prevention by creating safety networks in our communities. 

 

LivingWorks is a world leader in suicide intervention training and are committed to: 

  • A community-wide, collaborative approach to keep people safe from suicide. 

  • Empowering everyone to play a role in suicide prevention by creating safety networks in our communities. 

  • The programs they deliver are evidence based NESA accredited training providing CPD hours with professional organisations. 

  • LivingWorks has been funded by NSW Health to deliver a suite of training programs across NSW. 

  • LivingWorks will be delivering three programs at UOW campuses commencing in September 2023 until June 2024 (Anticipated Workshop Dates)

Learn the skills to recognise and respond.

START is a 90 min self directed learning module that covers the following features:

  • An evidence-based practical four step model to keep someone safe from suicide.​

  • Interactive simulations and scenarios to practice your skills.​

  • Lifetime access to resources and refresher training.​

  • Proven to increase confidence in talking to someone about suicide and connecting them to care.
