This session will be facilitated by Wiradjuri man Geoff Scott who is also one of the signatories of the Uluru Statement. During this interactive session you will be introduced to the history of referendums and the Australian Constitution and be provided with deeper context around what the Voice to Parliament will look and feel like for general Australia. This session will also include time for Q&A.

This session will be covering why it is important for us to work as a collective community to drive committed action towards a Voice to Parliament. In this panel, you will hear from the voices of Aboriginal staff members at UOW and respected members of our Community. This panel will provide insight and examples of how the Constitutional reform will advance all aspects of reconciliation.

Please join us for our Community Day event where we come together to learn, reflect on our shared history and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The event will include performances by Muladha Gamara Dancers and Torres Strait Islander dance team Kebi Kub. A range of Blak Market stalls that will be selling authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander food, clothing, arts and crafts.
